slack bloggie grrrrl

been busy busy, not been near the pc much so it's amazing to look back and see how many days have whizzed by since last i posted here or MiFFiliy...

Still got a full on day today, many things to do, attempt to bypass the throttle cable on the mower and just run it from the carby, why the hell not? :) Made the mango cakes last night for roast (vegetable for me) lunchie at JJsgtnhtTRO and hubbies place with Rusty and Chrissie... maybe P.P.... who knows.... ? even K and A are possibilities... sing songs with the puppies, and take them their cardboard roll collection that i've saved for their destructive pleasure...
they love to demolish toilet rolls, and the cardboard from cling film and i've also taken them the cardboard inner cores from some bolts of fabric... :) cool fun :)
Followed by a nice evening in here at the "supermodel appartments"... (beautiful but useless), followed by ecky thump in da morning :)

have a lovely wiigii miffi weekend people :)

and so it goes...

a rather uneventful day / week this one...
only because it seems a week of opportunities that haven't eventuated...
Was hoping my old fridge would have found a new life as a beer fridge but that's on hold for now, was supposed to be picking up a new 2nd hand washing machine today but the person who was arranging that was sick and couldn't come, broke throttle cable on my lawn mower so lawns straggly, front end died on siggie after aldinga trip, so now shaking like a polaroid picture at 50kph, previously, sewing machine died, what else?? oh after applying for housing trust accomodation in 1986 believe it or not, i got an offer in the mail of housing today............................... what the? only 18 years later... and 2.5 months after moving in here... ummmm what else.. oh yeah, i sprained my foot at martial art on wed night, (don't ask, nothing exciting - well not as exciting as the frame of pain ;)) and strangely it has become really incapacitating today (whinge moan) that'll learn me for being too enthusiastic...but hey if you know me well you know if i'm in for a penny i'm in for a pound... :) moderation is not my key word.
Nevertheless, whingeing and moaning aside, i'm fabo, tomorrow helping a friend out and hoping the foot thing wont hold me back too much, looking forward to the day with C tomorrow, always a good laugh when we get together, gossip about training and the like, then more training on sunday..

oh will the goodness never end??? lol

looking forward to JenJen_so_good_they_named_her_twiceTheRambunctiousOne's bellydancing performance night in a couple of weekends.. you go girl... belly is teh r0x0r!!! :)

Hello World!!

no, not a programming joke for those in the know ;-)

but ... more like.. yay! i'm back :)

What a fabo long weekend i've had!!! :) Moofies Moofies and more Moofies, been out with Jen, JenJen and C this weekend, and devoured movies of all different calibres.

Yesterday, headed down to see C @ Aldinga, and the sky was so grey i swear it was lilac, lilaclicious mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, rolling over the southern hills and vales.
:-) just my kind of weather this :-)

Interestingly enough, some of my scrawl has prompted off blog comments, so i'd just like to take this opportunity to say that it's not neccesarily my innermost stuff you're seeing here... but, particularly recently, the contents of garbled dreams and some inspiration from an art doco :) tricksy, innit? :)
in particular below, combo of a doco and a dream from which i can only remember a male presence, hence i blamed him for nicking the rest of me dream, coz i was peeved i couldn't remember it :)

lalalalaalalalala i want a new phone like Jenny's :) sigh.. i think the samsung has my fave feature left over from my mitsubishi addiction tho... Speakerphone!!! yay!! serious hands free that, what :)

tata

G & T's on the terrace later lovies :-)

blue....

That man crept in
slipped through and stole my dreams
cloaked in the blue of a long summers day
shadows still with blue broken hearts
breathless children pale and cold
Blue for silent midnight fears in forgotten corners
Velvet blue for soft restful sleep
Mournful blue, for piercing ice jagged

He did not speak
but whispered wordlessly
Step into the void womanchild
Immersed in
blue within, blue without
Release that which you think you know
and just be
with me, with you
just blue

I wish the sushi train stopped at my house .....

a fantastic day yestermaday, the sky bluer than i can remember it being for such a long long time, the warm sun shining and smiling... wow! i'm happy :)

after a quiet reflective lychee bubble tea in the window at the dragons in china town, watching the world unfold before me in a pre rush hour, jovial, rag tag parade..
i had a fantastic dinner and laugh fest with the delightful Ashlar, sushi train madness, green tea and much hilarity..
mind you, i've never seen anyone hoover down wasabi like that before, Ashlar, i bow to your superior wasabi holding capabilities :)

I also know my erotic touch lamp packaging, complete with the come **** me satin sheet background is in good hands now, as i gifted it to Ashlar, and he promptly scanned and uploaded it for the world to see! :) nice work ;)

now the world can share the touch me to turn me on goodness... :)
i know i watched far too much benny hill as a youngun :)

wasabiciao!!

Van Helsing
Posted by cat on 9 May 2004 - 10:10am Category: Film

N.B. my reviews are for fun and are my opinion - neither right nor wrong - not here for your critique - you wanna do that, write a review on your own bloggie

Through the clouds of settling wizz fizz mist emerged a fearsome vampyre hunter.....

I'm always going to jump at a chance to see a vampy flick, better yet, a chance to ogle the yummy "pea head" hughby, and i wasn't disappointed with this outing. Opening into a humourous and well paced battle with Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde, smashing up some gothic cathedral stained glass, a bit of limb removal and we're well on our way. The team of Hugh Jackman and David Wenham was a winner for me, a million times this movie could have fallen flat, but they had an on screen rapport that carried the simplest dialogue, that could have so easily been cruddy... ok, so I wanted it to work and that helped too :). Not a think piece, not by a long shot, but lots of humour, action aplenty and keeping things moving along rapidly made this one i didn't want to end, though i knew it must. A couple of mentions: Franky, legendary portrayal of the loyal and kind hearted frankenstein monster, tho a friend said to me last night he thought franky should have died in the end.... nah... we need a franky sequel :)
And you know, I'm a big big fan of exploding babies any old time, but when the exploding babies in question are actually vampyre spawn, that just sweetens the deal to the Nth degree :)

yay!! if you didn't see it, go cover yourself in the fizz of the wizz (oo that sounds wrong!!) and get thee to a cinema!!
(3 and a half stars)

i feel somehow cheated...

You are 55% geek
You are a geek. Good for you! Considering the endless complexity of the universe, as well as whatever discipline you happen to be most interested in, you'll never be bored as long as you have a good book store, a net connection, and thousands of dollars worth of expensive equipment. Assuming you're a technical geek, you'll be able to afford it, too. If you're not a technical geek, you're geek enough to mate with a technical geek and thereby get the needed dough. Dating tip: Don't date a geek of the same persuasion as you. You'll constantly try to out-geek the other.
